WHAT I WORE

Shoretrooper T-shirt: c/o Silk It 2 Me
Vigoss Jeans: Nordstrom Rack
Vest: American Eagle
Wristband: Smuggler's Bounty
Born Wedges: Nordstrom (Similar)
Choker: Handmade
Lipstick: "Winter Red" by Real Her

Silk It 2 Me is a fairly new brand owned by a fantastic geeky couple who wanted to see more pop culture tees on finer clothing. They take pride in using high quality materials and eco-friendly inks on all of their products. Their t-shirts range from sizes Small to 3XL with no price increase which is a rarity these days. You'll find several designs in their online store most of which are Star Wars related. No complaints there, right? Be sure to follow them on Instagram for all their latest updates and special giveaways!

Besides the fact that this is the best Shoretrooper t-shirt design I have seen, I am also absolutely in love with how soft and comfortable it is! I decided to style it with an 80's rock-inspired vibe that still meshes with today's fashion trends. I tucked the shirt into my jeans and layered a lightweight vest over it. The final touches included a Star Wars wristband that I just received from my Smuggler's Bounty Box (my favorite subscription box ever!), a choker I made myself (and by "made" I mean I cut some black ribbon and tied it around my neck), a pair of chunky black wedges and a dark red lip.

As you can see, this is a really simple style to achieve with room for adjustments depending on your taste. Layering is the trick to give any outfit a bit more character!

Smuggler's Bounty: 40th Anniversary Unboxing

This month's Smuggler's Bounty box, the only Official Star Wars subscription box by Funko, was the largest box yet! It's packed with items reflecting the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars making it very special for collectors. This box in particular has received a lot of negative comments but I for one enjoyed it. Was it my favorite box yet? No. But most of the items I love or know I will enjoy. Watch our unboxing video below to see our reactions to all of the A New Hope exclusives that were included! Oh, and sorry for the awkward camera angle. I don't even know...

Smuggler's Bounty costs $25 for each box (not including taxes, shipping, and handling) and is shipped out every other month. The next box will be released in July and is Droids themed! This could be the cutest box ever!

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

I just knew eventually there would be characters from Star Wars featured in the Official Disney Tsum Tsum Subscription Box. It seems only fitting that they chose to include a "mini" Maz and "small" Chewbacca in the May box considering this month is the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars! This duo is sure to make hearts melt not only for their adorable plushness but because this makes them even more of a thing. Right?

The Force Awakens Themed Tsum Tsum Subscription Box

The Force Awakens Themed Tsum Tsum Subscription Box

The Tsum Tsum subscription box is $24.95 each month and includes free shipping. Each package contains either: one small plush & one coordinating mini plush, three-piece mini plush set, plush movie moment, or six-piece micro plush set. At this time this set is not available to buy but it seems that it will be eventually according to their past boxes page. For now, your best bet at obtaining this set is probably a Tsum Tsum collecting group on Facebook or eBay.

What do you think of Maz and Chewy?

Star Wars 40th Anniversary Tsum Tsum Set

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of A New Hope Disney is releasing a new "micro" series set of four Tsum Tsum plushies which includes: Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and R2-D2. The gang comes packed in a Millennium Falcon-inspired box. You can find this set at the Disney Store and on their website on May 25th. The price is currently unknown.

As cute as they are, I already own these characters in their original "mini" size so I will be passing on this set. I'm just going to sit over here and wait for a Rebels and Rogue One collection. What about you?

Thanks to Vinylmationworld.com for the information.

Star Wars ComLINKS: Favorite Supporting Character

Welcome to the nineteenth Star Wars ComLINKS! Star Wars ComLINKS is the very first monthly link up centered around a galaxy far, far away. The purpose of this link up is to inspire fans to write/talk about various topics (which are assigned each month) pertaining to our favorite fandom. Each link up will take place on the second Wednesday of every month. You will be able to share a link to your Website, Blog, YouTube, Podcast, etc. on a special widget here on AAHA and also view other posts from fans!

The Topic for May is "Favorite Supporting Character" and begins today through May 24th!

There are several amazing supporting characters throughout the Star Wars galaxy, from the noble and sweet handmaiden Dorme' to the crazy and mischievous Salacious Crumb. Which character from the films or cartoons do you particularly love the most? Now is the time for your favorite supporting character to shine! Prepare your entry and make your way back to the homepage of AAHA on May 10 and add your link to the link-up!

GUIDELINES

1) Your Website, Blog, YouTube, Podcast, etc. does NOT have to be SW related.
2) Your entry must be family-friendly.
3) Please include a link to (or mention) "Star Wars ComLINKS" in your entry and don't forget to use the hashtag #starwarscomlinks when applicable!

Something tells me this is one of those challenges where you come down to a verdict and then later on realize you completely forgot about other characters within the Star Wars lore and wonder if you made the right choice. But one thing I know for sure is that Bib Fortuna is at least one of my favorite supporting characters.

Though slightly creepy I do love the personality of this particular Twi'lek and the way he speaks Huttese. In fact, I often find myself randomly saying the few lines he does have. Seriously, how does one not go around saying "De wanna wanga"? Besides his catchy phrases, I think his loyalty to Jabba the Hutt often gets overlooked. Bib has served the mighty Jabba as chief of staff for decades. If you don't remember, he was present for the Boonta Eve Podraces on Tatooine (his home planet) along his master's side.

But what brought him to work for Jabba and why does he stay? Because of his position, is he perhaps more highly favored than the rest of the staff? Besides the pay, maybe he considers it an honor to work for him. His mannerisms during his conversations with two droids we all know and love in Return of the Jedi revealed a hesitancy to let them continue through to his slimy gangster of a boss. Even when Luke arrived, he was there to deal with him before he proceeded to enter the headquarters of the palace. Sadly, Luke's Jedi mind trick worked on Bib and Jabba called him a "Weak-minded fool!" and pushed him to the side. Jabba wouldn't be Jabba if he wasn't self-oriented and lacked the abitlity to give people second chances. Even those who work for him. Was this a taste of how Jabba regularly treated Bib or a unique circumstance? There are many questions I have, as I'm sure you've gathered by now.

I would love to see Bib Fortuna in a series, perhaps animated, so that we can get an idea of what his life looked like before working for Jabba and why he stays. Is he taking care of family? As far as we know he has a cousin named Beezer whom we saw in Rogue One among Saw Gerrera's crew. But who else is there, if anyone? Does he actually enjoy the job? Being Jabba's majordomo might actually be worth the occasional lashing out especially since he is in charge a lot of the time.

Tell me, what do you think about Bib Fortuna and who is your favorite supporting character?

Star Wars Mobile Wallpapers - May 4th Edition

Happy Star Wars Day mynock friends! In celebration of May 4th I have four new mobile wallpapers to spice up your phones with. If you don't remember, last October I created several designs which you can see here. Today just seemed like the perfect day to release a few new designs!

IPHONE 6 Wallpaper Size
852x1608

Samsung Galaxy S7 Wallpaper Size
1440x2560

Please note: I tested the iPhone 6 wallpapers on my LG V10 (same screen size as the Samsung Galaxy S7) and they looked just as good as they did on the iPhone 6. My hope is that even if you have a different phone than what is listed above that one of these sizes will work for you. The larger sizes should also be compatible on smaller screens though there may be some cropping needed to make it fit properly. Be sure to Tweet me a photo of what your favorite wallpaper looks like on your screen!

The Last Jedi Teaser Trailer Reaction Video

The Last Jedi Teaser Trailer Reaction Video | Anakin and His Angel(The jaw-droppingly amazing official poster for The Last Jedi.)

I wasn't at Star Wars Celebration Orlando over the weekend but thanks to the live stream, there were many times when I felt like I was. It was nice being able to enjoy the panels I had on my list to watch in the comfort of my own bed though nothing can compare to experiencing a Star Wars panel with your husband and thousands of fans all in the same room. But even still I woke up earlier than usual for The Last Jedi panel. I was so excited that I couldn't sleep, much like my ten-year-old self on Christmas morning. Your body just knows.

The panel was such an emotional delight and there were many moments of ear-to-ear grinning, gasps from the photos (including the poster above!) they shared throughout, and even teary-eyedness when Daisy Ridley walked out on stage. I wasn't very familiar with Rian Johnson beforehand so to see his passion for Star Wars and kindness towards the fans was just very reassuring, especially after watching the teaser trailer. It left me with goosebumps on my arms for just as long as The Force Awakens trailer did if not longer. It looks absolutely exquisite and quite honestly like the perfect continuation to this new trilogy. I will be discussing in further detail my thoughts on the trailer on Force Cult this week (look for it on April 23rd) but in the mean time, you can watch my reaction to the trailer below.

What do you think of The Last Jedi poster and trailer?
